Whispers Of The Past Book Tour.

After a successful book tour of the top of the South Island of New Zealand, we caught our breath before we headed off to Australia for a few months. With warm weather, visiting family, and a chance to show our next door neighbours my book “Whispers of the Past”, I felt it was worth the trip.

However, it turned out to be a long first day. First off we drove an hour to Napier to catch our plane to Auckland, had a wee wait, then a one hour flight before arriving in the city of sails. We collected our bags as baggage transfer wasn't included, and caught the bus to the International Terminal. That was a bit of a hassle as we were loaded with all our gear, and the bus driver just sat and looked at us as we struggled aboard. Gotta love the service.

At International, we managed to find a trolley and once again checked our bags in, then headed off to find some food as we had just over an hour and a half to fill in. Passing through customs was a breeze, and waited only a short while for our flight to the Gold Coast. After an uneventful trip, we arrived on the coast around fifteen minutes late, and eventually arrived at our son's place twelve hours after leaving home, rather tired and of course two hours out of sync.

So there will be time now to sit back while we are here in the 'lucky country', to write and to also promote “Whispers of the Past” around the Gold Coast area. At the same time, Kaye will endeavour to finish proofreading some of the chapters of the second book “Shadows of the Mind”, while I do my damnedest to put some chapters behind me on the third and last book of the trilogy “Clearing of the Mist.”

We head down to Elanora on Saturday 6th August to house-sit a couple of wee poodle dogs for a couple of months, and to rest and get back into the groove. So watch this blog as Kaye and I get stuck in, and we will keep you informed how the second and third books are going.

Remember, the best way to appreciate an author, is to write a review.
